Karen first fell in love with the barbershop art form when she heard “Rhinestones & Rhythm” Quartet perform on a local radio station at Christmas time in 2002. The following month, she attended A Cappella 101 held by the award-winning "Women of Note" chorus, and in March of 2003, she became a member of "Women of Note" herself. Singing tenor harmony, as opposed to the melody as a soprano in her high school chorus, has been challenging but extremely fun. She has been a member of "Hidden Treasure Quartet" since 2004 and absolutely wouldn’t trade it for the world. In her other life, she has been married to Keith for 30 wonderful years and has two children, Craig, graduating soon from the University of Central Florida, and Stephanie, a sophomore at the University of Florida. They all make their home in Boynton Beach, Florida. Karen is currently working, as a medical coder at Boca Raton Community Hospital. Prior to that, she was employed by Motorola for 31 years as an electronics technician.
